Second Ring

Revenue recovery for HVAC · San Diego

The calls you
already paid for
are hanging up.

At minimum one in five calls hitting your shop goes unanswered — lunch, ladders, after hours. Most of those people never call back. They call the next company on the list. We install the follow-up that catches them automatically, and we run it for you.

  • No contract, cancel anytime
  • Runs on your existing phone number
  • Done for you — not another dashboard
  • Missed calls
  • After-hours leads
  • Web forms nobody answers
  • Dead customer lists
  • No-show appointments
  • Reviews never asked for
  • Estimates never followed up
  • Maintenance plans nobody renewed

Sources: contractors miss 20–30% of inbound calls, rising to 40–50% in seasonal peaks, and roughly 85% of missed callers never call back; automated text-back recovers 30–60% of them (CallRail, Invoca, ServiceTitan). We apply the lowest published figure in each range. The 40% booking rate is our own conservative assumption, not a published statistic — your real numbers come out of the free audit.

The leak

You don't have a marketing problem.
You have a follow-up problem.

Most contractors are told to spend more on lead generation. But the leads are already arriving — they're just falling through four predictable gaps. Marketing creates demand. We recover the demand you already paid for.

  • 20–30%

    of your calls go unanswered

Techs are on ladders, the office is at lunch, the phone rings at 7pm. In seasonal peaks it climbs to 40–50%. Nobody in the building even knows it happened. (CallRail, ServiceTitan)

  • 85%

of missed callers never call back

They don't leave a voicemail and try again later. They tap the next result in the map pack, and the job belongs to whoever answered. (Invoca)

  • 21×

harder to qualify a lead after 30 minutes

A web form answered in 5 minutes versus 30 is 21× more likely to qualify. Most shops answer forms the next business morning — if at all. (Lead Response Management Study, Oldroyd — MIT/InsideSales)

  • $0

is what your old customer list earns you

Most shops have hundreds of past customers who'd book a tune-up if asked. Nobody asks. That list is the fastest cash in the business and it sits idle.

The system

Five automations. One install.

Each one plugs a specific leak. We build them into your existing phone number and calendar, then we run and maintain them — you don't log into anything.

01

Missed-Call Text-Back

The second a call goes unanswered, the caller gets a text from your business asking what they need. Replies land in one inbox. The job stays yours.

02

Speed-to-Lead

Web form, Google, Angi, Yelp — every new lead gets a personal reply inside 60 seconds, day or night, before your competitor's voicemail picks up.

03

Review Engine

A review request goes out automatically after every completed job, timed for when the customer is happiest. Your map-pack ranking stops decaying.

04

Lead Follow-Up Engine

Quoted but never booked? Asked a question and went quiet? Every open lead keeps hearing from you — automatically — until they book or say stop.

05

Database Reactivation

We text your past customers a seasonal offer — spring AC, fall furnace. This is the one designed to book revenue in week one, and it repeats every quarter.

All five, installed and run for you

One flat monthly fee. We handle carrier registration, the copy, the testing, and the monthly report.

The free audit

We test your phones before we ever pitch you.

Five tests, ten minutes, no cooperation needed from you. We run them on your business the same way a customer would, then send you exactly what happened — including the ones you pass. Most owners have never seen this data about their own shop.

The five field tests in the free leak audit
Test What we actually do You fail if
Missed callWe call during lunch, then again after hoursNo text follow-up within 5 minutes
Speed to leadWe submit your web form from a real mobile numberNo call or text within 5 minutes
Review velocityWe count your reviews from the last 90 days against your lifetime totalUnder 5% of your reviews are recent
Follow-upWe stay interested but unbooked after our inquiry — then we waitNo follow-up text or call within 72 hours
ReactivationWe look for any seasonal offer going out to past customersNothing visible anywhere

You get the results whether or not you ever hire us. If you pass all five, we'll tell you that too — and you'll have a documented answer for the next agency that cold-calls you.

Pricing

You get paid before we do.

We start by texting your existing customer list, because that's the campaign that can book jobs in the first week. That's the sequence — you see a result before you commit to anything monthly.

Step one

Leak Audit

Free

Five field tests plus your leak math, in writing.

  • All five tests run on your business
  • Your monthly leak, calculated
  • Yours to keep either way
Start here

Step two

Reactivation Campaign

$1,500 one-time

Or pay 12–15% of what it books instead — pick that option and you only pay on results.

  • Your customer list, cleaned and loaded
  • Seasonal offer written and sent
  • Replies land with your office
  • Booked revenue reported back to you

Step three

Core 5 Retainer

From $1,000 /month

Setup is $2,000 — waived when you start with a reactivation campaign. The monthly fee tracks your call volume ($1,000 up to 350 calls a month, $1,500 to 600, $2,000 above that) because that's what decides how much there is to catch. Same five automations either way. Under about 150 calls a month we'll tell you a retainer isn't worth it and sell you the one-off campaign instead.

  • All five automations, live
  • Carrier registration prepared and filed for you
  • A reactivation campaign every quarter
  • Monthly report: calls caught, jobs booked, dollars in
  • Cancel any time, no penalty

Later, if it's earning: an AI receptionist that answers live, and a rebuilt website. We don't sell either until the basics are proven on your account.

Why we exist

“Every shop I've looked at is being sold more leads. Not one of them was answering the leads they already had. The cheapest job you'll ever book is the one that already called you once — so that's the only thing we work on.”
  • HVAC onlyOne trade, one city. We're not learning your business on your dime.
  • Week oneThe reactivation campaign runs before your first retainer invoice. That's the sequence.
  • Founding clientsWe're taking our first three San Diego HVAC accounts now.

Questions

The things owners actually ask.

Do I have to change my phone number?

No. Everything runs on the number you already advertise. Your phone rings exactly the way it does today — the automation only steps in when a call goes unanswered.

Is texting my past customers legal?

Yes, when it's done properly, and doing it properly is our job. We only text people with a genuine prior relationship with your business, every message identifies you and includes opt-out language, we honor opt-outs immediately, and carrier registration (A2P 10DLC) is completed before a single message goes out. Carriers require that registration to be filed under your business identity, so it's your registration — we prepare it, submit it, and manage it for you. Shops that blast unregistered lists get filtered by the carriers and risk real penalties. We won't run a campaign that way.

How much of my time does this take?

About an hour to get started — one call to walk through your setup, and an export of your customer list. After that you answer the replies that come in, which is the part you actually want. We handle the build, the copy, the testing, and the reporting.

What if my customer list is a mess?

Normal, and fine. Most shops hand us a messy export from QuickBooks or their field software. We clean it, strip landlines and duplicates, and keep only contacts recent enough to text responsibly. If the list turns out to be too thin to be worth it, we'll tell you before you pay.

Why should I trust a new company?

You shouldn't, on the strength of a website. That's the entire reason the audit is free and the first campaign is a one-time fee instead of a contract: you can watch us produce a result before you commit to anything monthly. We're early, we're taking founding clients, and we'd rather earn it in week one than talk you into it.

Do you do this for trades other than HVAC?

Not right now. Deliberately. Every automation we build is tuned to how HVAC actually works — seasonal offers, maintenance plans, emergency calls. Once that's dialed in we'll add the next trade. If you're in another trade and you found this useful, get in touch anyway and we'll tell you honestly whether we can help.
